Koyraboro Senni, also known as Koyra ci-Senni, is a language spoken in the Koyra Chiini region of Senegal. It is a member of the Atlantic branch of the Niger-Congo family of languages.
Koyraboro Senni has a rich oral tradition, and is used in daily life for communication within the community. It is also used in education, with a growing body of literature being written in the language.
The Koyraboro Senni language is under threat from the use of other languages in the region, such as French and Wolof. However, efforts are being made to promote and preserve the language, through education and the use of new technology.
