Mandar

Mandar, also known as Manding, is a West African language spoken by the Mande people. It is the native language of the Mandinka people, who are the largest ethnic group in the country of Senegal. Mandar is a tonal language, which means that the meaning of a word can change depending on the pitch of the speaker's voice. There are four tones in Mandar: high, low, rising, and falling. Mandar is written in the Latin alphabet and has no official status in Senegal. However, it is taught in some schools and used as a lingua franca in the country.
