Ewondo

Ewondo is a Bantu language spoken in Cameroon. It is closely related to the Fang language, and is also known as Fang-Ewondo. It is spoken by about 1.5 million people. Ewondo is a tonal language, with two tones: high and low. The high tone is indicated by a grave accent (è), and the low tone by an acute accent (é). There are no consonant clusters, and all syllables end in a vowel. The Ewondo language is used in primary education in Cameroon, and is also used in the media. It is one of the official languages of Cameroon, along with French and English.
