Central Dusun

The Central Dusun language is a language spoken in Sabah, Malaysia. It is part of the Dusunic family of languages, which includes the related languages of North and South Dusun. Central Dusun is the most populous of the Dusunic languages, with over 200,000 speakers. The Central Dusun language is written in the Latin alphabet. It has a relatively simple grammar, with only two tenses (past and present) and no articles or genders. Central Dusun has a rich vocabulary, with over 2000 words. The Central Dusun language is spoken in the central area of Sabah, in the districts of Kota Belud, Kota Kinabalu, Papar, Penampang, Ranau and Tambunan. Central Dusun is also spoken in the town of Kudat. The Central Dusun language is closely related to North and South Dusun, and is mutually intelligible with both. Central Dusun is also related to the languages of the Lotud and Rungus peoples, who live in the same area. The Central Dusun language is an important part of the cultural heritage of Sabah. It is used in everyday life, and is also used in traditional ceremonies.
