Siddham, Siddhaṃ, Siddhamātṛkā

The Siddham script, also known as the Siddhaṃ script or the Siddhamātṛkā script, is a script used for writing the Sanskrit language. The script is believed to have originated in India, and was used in Buddhist texts from the 8th century onwards. The script is also used in East Asian countries such as China, Japan and Korea. The Siddham script is an alphabet, and each letter has an inherent meaning. The script is written from left to right, and the letters are joined together to form words. There are a number of different schools of Siddham script, each with its own variations. The most common Siddham script is the one used in the texts of the Chinese Buddhist canon, which was translated into Chinese from Sanskrit. This script is known as the Fanyi Siddham script. The Siddham script is not used widely today, but is still studied by scholars of Buddhism and Sanskrit.
