Khojki

Khojki is a script used to write the Sindhi language. It is named after the Khojas, a Muslim community that traditionally inhabited Sindh. The Khojki script is thought to have been developed in the early 16th century. The Khojki script is written from right to left, and consists of 28 letters. Each letter has an inherent vowel, which can be altered by the use of diacritical marks. Khojki also uses a number of ligatures. The Khojki script is not currently used for writing Sindhi, as the Arabic script is used instead. However, there has been a recent revival of interest in the script, and it is now used by some for writing poetry and other texts.
