Abkhazian

Abkhazian is a Northwest Caucasian language spoken by about 250,000 people in the Abkhazia region of Georgia. The Abkhazian language is closely related to Adyghe and Kabardian, and is sometimes considered a dialect of those languages. Abkhazian is written using a modified version of the Cyrillic alphabet, and has its own unique grammar and vocabulary. The Abkhazian language is one of the official languages of the Republic of Abkhazia, and is also used in parts of Russia and Ukraine. Abkhazian has a rich literary tradition, and is the language of many famous Abkhaz authors, poets, and musicians. The Abkhazian language is also spoken by a minority of people in Turkey, Syria, and Jordan.
