LUF is the currency of Luxembourg. It is divided into 100 centimes and is subdivided into 10 dimes, 5 centimes, and 2 centimes. LUF is also the ISO 4217 code for the Luxembourgish franc. The LUF was introduced in 1854, replacing the Luxembourgish gulden. The LUF was pegged to the German Mark at a rate of 1 LUF = 1.2956 DM until 1999 when the euro was introduced. The LUF was replaced by the euro at a rate of 1 EUR = 40.3399 LUF.
