ARS is the currency code for the Argentine Peso. The Argentine Peso is the official currency of Argentina. The Argentine Peso is subdivided into 100 centavos. The peso was introduced in 1992, replacing the austral. The peso was pegged to the US dollar at a rate of 1:1 from 1994 until 2002. The peso is currently pegged to the US dollar at a rate of 10.5:1.
