CHE is the currency of the Swiss canton of Ticino. It is subdivided into 100 centesimi. The Ticino franc was the currency of Ticino until the Swiss franc was introduced in 1850. Ticino was the last canton to adopt the Swiss franc, in 1852. The Ticino franc was also legal tender in the Italian exclave of Campione d'Italia until it joined the Swiss customs territory in 1917.
