Belarusian Ruble

The currency in Belarus is the Belarusian ruble (BYN). The BYN was introduced in 2016, replacing the Russian ruble. The BYN is subdivided into 100 kapeeks. The first BYN banknotes were issued in 2016. The Central Bank of Belarus is responsible for issuing the BYN. The BYN is pegged to the Euro at a rate of 1 BYN = 0.5 EUR.
