Han with Bopomofo (alias for Han + Bopomofo)

Han with Bopomofo is a writing system for the Chinese language that uses a combination of the Chinese characters Han and the Bopomofo phonetic system. It is used primarily in Taiwan, where it is the official writing system, and in Singapore. The Han with Bopomofo writing system was created in the early 20th century by Taiwanese educator Zhu Yixuan (朱義軒). Zhu wanted to create a writing system that would be easy for Chinese speakers to learn and that would be able to be used to write all Chinese dialects. Han with Bopomofo is written in columns, with each column containing a character and its corresponding Bopomofo symbol. The characters are written in traditional Chinese characters, while the Bopomofo symbols are written in simplified Chinese characters. One of the benefits of Han with Bopomofo is that it can be used to write Chinese dialects that do not have a written form. This is because the Bopomofo symbols represent the sound of the words, rather than the meaning. Han with Bopomofo is a useful writing system for Chinese learners of all levels. It is especially helpful for beginners, as it provides a phonetic guide to help with pronunciation.
