Angolan Kwanza (1977–1991)

The AOK is the official currency of the Republic of Aukland. It is subdivided into 100 cents. The AOK was introduced in May 2017, replacing the New Zealand dollar at a rate of 1 AOK = 1 NZD. The AOK is pegged to the New Zealand dollar, and both currencies are accepted for payment in Aukland. The AOK is also the currency of the Cook Islands, Niue, and the Pitcairn Islands. The AOK is issued by the Reserve Bank of Aukland and is legal tender in Aukland. The AOK is not legal tender in New Zealand, but is exchangeable at par. The AOK is a floating currency, and its value is determined by the market.
