Avestan

Avestan is a script used to write the Avestan language. It was developed in the 3rd or 4th century CE, and is one of the oldest known alphabets. It is thought to have been derived from the Pahlavi script, which was used to write Middle Persian. Avestan is written from left to right, and uses a unique alphabet of 36 letters. The alphabet is thought to have been inspired by the Aramaic alphabet, and includes both consonants and vowels. The Avestan alphabet is thought to be one of the oldest known alphabets, and is an important part of the history of writing.
