Peru

Peru is a country in South America that's home to a section of the Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan city high in the Andes mountains. Peru is a land of extremes, with an arid coastal region, lush jungle and high, snow-capped mountains. Iquitos is the largest city in the Peruvian Amazon. The Inca civilization flourished in Peru between the 13th and 16th centuries. Their legacy is evident in the country's many ruins, including Machu Picchu and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
