Northern Luri

Luri is a language spoken in parts of Iran and Iraq. It is a Northwestern Iranian language and belongs to the Lori group. There are two main varieties of Luri: Bakhtiari and Feyli. The Bakhtiari dialect is spoken in the Bakhtiari region of Iran, while the Feyli dialect is spoken in the Feyli region of Iraq. Luri is a member of the Northwestern Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian language family. It is closely related to other Northwestern Iranian languages such as Persian and Bakhtiari. The Bakhtiari dialect of Luri is spoken by the Bakhtiari people, who are a nomadic pastoral people living in the Bakhtiari region of Iran. The Bakhtiari dialect is also spoken in some parts of Iraq. The Feyli dialect of Luri is spoken by the Feyli people, who are a nomadic pastoral people living in the Feyli region of Iraq. Luri is written in a version of the Arabic script. There is also a Latin alphabet used by some Luri speakers in Iraq.
