Korean is one of the world’s most spoken languages, with around 78 million speakers. It is the official language of both North and South Korea, and is also spoken in parts of China, Japan and Russia. Korean is a language of great historical importance. It is thought to be related to the Altaic family of languages, which includes Turkish, Mongolian and Finnish. It is also one of the few languages with its own unique alphabet, known as Hangul. The Korean alphabet was invented in the 15th century by King Sejong the Great, in an effort to promote literacy among the Korean people. Today, Hangul is considered one of the most efficient and easy-to-learn alphabets in the world. Korean is a fascinating language to learn, with a rich culture and history behind it.
