Tigrinya

Tigrinya, also known as Tigray, is a Semitic language spoken in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. It is also the official working language of Eritrea. Tigrinya is closely related to Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia, with which it shares about two-thirds of its vocabulary. However, Tigrinya is more closely related to Tigre, another Semitic language spoken in Eritrea. Tigrinya is written using the Ge'ez script, which is also used for Amharic, Tigre, and other Ethiopian languages. The script is known as fidel in Tigrinya. Tigrinya has its own unique alphabet, which includes 28 letters. Tigrinya is spoken by around 7 million people in Ethiopia and Eritrea. In Ethiopia, Tigrinya is the language of the Tigray Region, which has a population of about 4.5 million people. In Eritrea, Tigrinya is spoken by the majority of the population, which is about 3.5 million people. Tigrinya is a beautiful language with a rich history and culture.
