Frafra

Frafra, also called Frafa, is a language spoken in northern Ghana by the Frafra people. It is a member of the Gur language family. The language has about 1 million speakers. Frafra is a tonal language, which means that the meaning of a word can change depending on the pitch of the speaker's voice. For example, the word for "dog" can mean either "animal" or " friend" depending on the pitch of the speaker's voice. The Frafra language is written with the Latin alphabet. However, some words are written with special characters, such as Ɔ (pronounced "O"), which represents the sound of a sheep bleating. The Frafra language is spoken in a region of Ghana that is home to many different ethnic groups. As a result, the language has been influenced by other languages, such as Hausa, Dagbani, and Twi.
