Uruguayan Peso (1975–1993)

The UYP is the currency of Uruguay. It was introduced in 1967, replacing the Uruguayan peso at a rate of 1 UYP = 100 pesos. The UYP is divided into 100 centésimos. The UYP is pegged to the US dollar at a rate of 1 UYP = 1 USD.
