Tanzania is a country located in East Africa. The capital of Tanzania is Dodoma, but the largest city is Dar es Salaam. Tanzania is bordered by Kenya to the north, Uganda to the west, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, and Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique to the south. Tanzania covers an area of 947,300 square kilometers and has a population of 55.57 million people. The official languages of Tanzania are Swahili and English. Swahili is the most widely spoken language, and is used in the government and education. English is also spoken by many people, especially in the business sector. Tanzania is a country with a lot to offer tourists. There are many national parks, including the world-famous Serengeti, which is home to a large population of lions, elephants and other wildlife.
