St. Lucia is a small island in the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the Windward Islands and is situated between Martinique and St. Vincent. St. Lucia is a volcanic island and its highest point is Mount Gimie, which is 958 metres (3,146 ft) above sea level. The island has a tropical climate and is lush and green. St. Lucia is a popular tourist destination and is known for its beaches, resorts and rainforest.
