CHILL is a high-level programming language developed by Cray Research. It was designed for use on supercomputers, and is particularly well suited for vector processing. CHILL programs are typically compiled into machine code, which is then executed on the target machine. CHILL was originally developed in the early 1970s, and was later standardized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). It is no longer in common use, but is still maintained by Cray Research.
