Afghan Afghani (1927–2002)

The AFA is the currency of Afghanistan. It is subdivided into 100 pul, which are further subdivided into 20 afghani. The AFA was introduced in 1925, replacing the Afghan rupee. The AFA is pegged to the US dollar at a rate of 1 AFA = $0.0139.
