Mentawai

The Mentawai language is spoken by the Mentawai people who live on the Mentawai Islands off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is a member of the Austronesian language family. The Mentawai language has four dialects: North Siberut, South Siberut, Sipura, and Pagai. North Siberut is the most widely spoken dialect. There are about 30,000 speakers of Mentawai. The language is endangered due to language shift to Indonesian.
