Iraqi Dinar

The currency of Iraq is the Iraqi Dinar (IQD). The dinar is subdivided into 1,000 fils. The fils is no longer used for everyday transactions but appears on some price tags. The official exchange rate for the dinar against the US dollar is 1,182.50 dinars per US dollar as of August 2015. The dinar is pegged to the US dollar. The euro is also accepted in some places, particularly in government offices.
