Myanmar, also known as Burma, is a country in Southeast Asia. Myanmar is bordered by Bangladesh, India, China, Laos, and Thailand. Myanmar has a population of over 54 million, and the official language is Myanmar. Myanmar is a country with a long history and a rich culture. Myanmar is home to many different ethnic groups, and the country has a diversity of languages, religions, and traditions. Myanmar is also a country of natural beauty, with mountains, forests, and rivers. Myanmar has been in the news in recent years due to the political situation. In 2015, Myanmar held its first free elections in 25 years. Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of the National League for Democracy, is the current State Counsellor of Myanmar.
